Exercise

Why is exercise good for you?

Exercise is good for your health and fitness but is also very good for your mental wellbeing.

Exercise gives you energy and makes you feel calmer which is particularly useful during exam periods.

Practising regularly will keep you at a healthy weight and lower your risk of major illnesses.

You only need to do 150mn  (2h30mn) of moderate intensity physical activity a week to stay healthy.

The NHS provides further information on the benefits of exercises.

Where do I start?

There are plenty of opportunities for exercise at Queen Mary University of London.

The Student Union through its fitness centre Qmotion, its Get Active programme and Club sports offers a wide range of sports, activities and classes.

You can also check the Students Societies.

Other cheap classes are offered through Tower Hamlets Idea Stores.
